Words from Dr. Carolyn Comer, M.D.

"I knew I wanted be a pediatrician when I was 6 years old. When I first became a physician more than 20 years ago, I devoted myself to children as a board-certified pediatrician. I noticed that many of my young patients suffered with various allergies that put their well-being at risk. That's why I specialize in allergy and immunology.

"I enjoy my profession because I get to help people make improvements in their quality of life. Seeing the change in a person's life is a reward I get every day. That's why I put a lot of care and concern into my work. In fact, my patients say that I'm always there for them, I listen and I remember personal things about them. I do what I do as a gift that I have been given. We're each given a talent or a gift. My gift is taking care of people. I love listening to and helping people.

"My ultimate goal is to build my practice so I can give back to the world. I work hard so I can make a difference in the lives of others."
